We have received a small delivery of Coopers Schooner Ale Malt and Coopers Premium Pale Malt to try out, grown and malted in S.A, it’s great to see more Australian malts becoming available!
Thanks again Karl and the team of guys and gals at Jindabyne Brewing for brewing us up a super fresh batch of their superb Golden Ale in fresh wort kits. Karl dropped them off this morning so we are fully stocked, perfect timing to get it in the fermenter and bottled or kegged to be ready for christmas drinking (and of course the quality assurance tastings you must do before christmas)
Ian and I will be performing (!) an all grain brewing demonstration on Sunday 25th November 2018 in front of the shop, starting at 8.30am. It should conclude at 12.00 depending on the mood of the brewing gods. After that we will do some intensive research and development, as well as in depth quality control…….. Ian will be brewing with his Guten and I’ll be using my Braumeister 20 plus. All brewers, new and experienced, are welcome to attend at no charge.If you wish to attend, could you please drop us a line to indicate your interest.
The warmer weather is upon us again and our summer trading Sundays are starting from the 14th of October. Colin will be manning the shop (mostly, I’ll cover when he can’t make it in) so come in and grab your brewing ingredients or get an emergency cO2 refill between 10am and 2pm Sundays from now till next winter.

Ian and I will be conducting an all grain brewing demonstration on Sunday 16th September at 8.00 am. Yes, I know that’s an early start, but it’s a lengthy process. We should be finished by noon at which point we may indulge in a cold beverage or two. Ian will be using his RoboBrew (not sure what he will brew, but it’s guaranteed to be magnificent.) I’ll be using my 20 litre Braumeister to brew a Belgian Orange Saison. Everybody interested in starting all grain brewing is welcome to attend, and there will be no charge. You may, however, be coerced into assisting with the cleanup. If you’d like to attend, at any time during the “event”, could you please let me know.
A new batch of malts from Voyager have arrived, we have Atlas malt, (Schooner) Pale male, Veloria malt, Chocolate malt and Vienna malt in todays delivery. Currently out of Compass malt but should be re-stocked in a few weeks.
A BIG thanks to Karl and Max and the gang at Jindabyne Brewing for making time during their busy winter season to brew us up a batch of their RedX American Pale Ale wort kits. We still have a couple of their Golden Ale wort kits left but they are going quickly.
